DON'T MISS IT! - I ADORE this book (& author)!!! After reading her first piece (& being so captivated by it), I knew I had to buy this one! Books are a big passion of mine & Debbie captures all the feels & experiences of being a book lover in this beautiful piece! This book was so captivating & beautifully illustrated that I absolutely had to finish it in one sitting (as I did with her first!). Debbie, also being an introvert, captures the wonderful escape from the outside world the written word offers. I was so happy to see Harry Potter listed as some of her favorite books being that J. K. Rowling’s series is my favorite of all time! I absolutely recommend this delightful, wonderful book for both introverts & bibliophiles alike!!! I’m sooo happy to add it my collection & will absolutely be visiting it again- many, many times! 10 STARS!!!
- This is an adorable little read. Considering that the book is comprised of comics, it wasn't actually particularly funny. I did smile in recognition a few times, but there were no guffaws. The lack of humor, however, is made up for by the fact that this little book just made me feel good - and I can't remember the last time a book did that. I'm a book lover, an avid reader, and I recognized myself on every page. This book gently validated my choices.
Good for you if you are a book lover. Excellent as a gift for the reader in your life. - This book was insanely cute and incredibly relatable. As someone who reads 200+ books a year, I was nodding along with every page. I'm sure it will end up in my top 10 favorite books of 2019.
- ... depicting some of the true feelings of book lovers from a humorous perspective.
- Love the author's point of view, although, the pages are very redundant. Nothing new. If you've read 'A Quiet Girl in a Noisy World" there is really no need to read this book. More of the same pictures and similar captions.
- A must have book for any book lover. This is a book you will read in one sitting and then keep coming back to dip into. Great illustrations and nuggets of truth about Book Love. Highly recommend.
- Or just book nerds in general. )
This was an impulse buy - I saw some of the cartoons online, and immediately bought three of these books. Because I know I needed this book, and I knew at least two other people who would enjoy it, too. I have no regrets. This book makes me so happy.
